Heads Up For Tails

Pet Care/ Retail

With 15+ years in the market and a retail presence across 15 cities, Heads Up For Tails had already built a strong foundation in pet care. The challenge was making that scale and experience more visible.
Its media presence was largely driven by sporadic announcements, leaving an opportunity to build a more consistent brand presence through strategic storytelling and stronger media positioning. The approach was to move from individual announcements to a more comprehensive, consumer-centric PR strategy.
We built a year-long plan around strategic media outreach, event activations, partnerships and influencer collaborations, while creating opportunities to bring Heads Up For Tails’ growth and expansion into business and retail conversations. The focus was on building visibility across both brand-led and consumer-focused stories.

For initiatives including Wag Away in Ahmedabad, Pettin Out with Swiggy and the Pet Dogathon, we developed phased communication strategies to build momentum, raise awareness and maximise engagement. Events and partnerships became important ways to create conversations around the brand and connect with pet parents across cities.

Alongside larger moments, we built a hyperlocal approach to make the brand relevant across its growing city presence.
On the media front, brand-led conversations positioned Heads Up For Tails through interviews with Rashmi Narang across business and retail publications, while consumer-focused bylines and industry stories helped educate and inform target audiences. We collaborated with over 100 influencers across these events, alongside national and local media. The launch of Heads Up For Tails’ flagship store in Bangalore and a Valentine’s Day breakfast with SMOOR further created opportunities for first-hand brand experiences and media amplification.

Regional media & KOLs were engaged with tailored stories around individual stores and their product offerings, while new store launches became opportunities to strengthen local connections.
