Unreal had already built a strong hospitality business, with serviced apartments and villas across Bengaluru, Goa, Mysuru and Pune, and a growing base of guests and reviews through Airbnb. The opportunity was to build on that trust and move Unreal from a collection of properties to a hospitality brand with a personality and point of view of its own.

The challenge was to make the stay feel like part of the trip itself. Rather than treating accommodation as somewhere to return to between plans, we wanted to position Unreal as a place where people could settle in, make themselves comfortable, and actually live for a while.

We started by shifting the brand from Unreal Estate to Unreal Living – moving the focus from the properties themselves to what happens inside them. From there, we developed the brand positioning, verbal identity, visual world, photography, social presence, website and campaign around a more human view of hospitality.

We then brought that idea to life through creators - from musicians and comedians to lifestyle, UGC, F&B and nightlife creators, each collaboration showed a different way to experience Unreal – from solo escapes and couples’ getaways to group stays, work trips and simply having a place to stay in. The result is a hospitality brand with a distinct personality and a clearer point of view, one that makes the property more than a place to sleep and gives the stay a role in the story of the trip.
